Understanding the Bible:
From Genesis to Jesus

By Mr. Vic Scaravilli
Catholic Apologist

This Bible study traces the blood lineage of Jesus Christ by through the fourteen chronological books: Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, 1 Maccabees, Luke and Acts.

In the spirit of St. Augustine's famous quote, "The New Testament is concealed in the Old, and the Old Testament is revealed in the new," Vic Scaravilli matches the Old and New Testaments verses, revealing the unity of the entire Bible.

Vic shows students how to interpret scripture, Catholic style. In turn, students get involved in impromptu apologetics debates and question and answer sessions.

Vic ties all three sources of authority together by throwing in quotes from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Church Fathers.

You will need your Bible to follow along as we look up verses. We are using the NAB version.
