On Monday morning, it was business as usual at Detroit news station WXYZ, with correspondent Nima Shaffe reporting from a location in Washtenaw County, notes The Dodo.
However, the live segment got interrupted when a kitten showed up.
WXYZ is reporting that initially the tiny cat cut into the broadcast with his loud cries, but not long after, he became a major news story himself.
While holding the energetic kitty, Shaffe told the tale of how the little guy wandered into the filming area and decided to stick around.
The animal has since been given a few different names including WXYZ and Lucky Seven.
The kitten is lucky, indeed, as many people have expressed interest in adopting him.
For now, he’s hanging out at the Humane Society of Huron Valley and will soon be ready to go to a forever home, according to The Dodo.
