Facebook, Twitter and YouTube join EU fight against hate speech

A legion of social-networking giants, like Facebook and Twitter, have joined the European Union in accordance with their code of conduct to stop online hate and speech within 24 hours.
Governments in the EU have tried to get Facebook and Twitter, as well as YouTube and Microsoft, to halt the rise of online racism following the refugee crisis and terror attacks.
As part of their pledge, the companies must review the majority of valid requests for removal of illegal hate speech in less than 24 hours and remove or disable access to the content if necessary.
