Teen artist removes nipples and belly button, trying to sell them as art

LONDON — A teen artist decided to get his nipples and belly button removed and is now trying to sell them online.
Karim Boumjimar wrote in a Twitter post last week, "I got rid of my nipples and I'm selling them. My belly button necklace is coming soon :-)"
The 18-year-old Spanish-Moroccan had his nipples and belly button surgically removed in Bosnia and is now trying to sell them as art.
Not long after the surgery, Boumjimar uploaded pictures of his dried up nipples on Instagram, along with snaps of his nipple-less chest.
He said over the photo sharing app that he's trying to sell his nipples for £10,000.
In an interview with Dazed, the artist said he wanted to get rid of the body parts because he doesn't "want to get attached to them" and "feel any kind of emotion towards them."
Boumjimar said he was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" because she has no eyebrows or eyelashes.
Another inspiration was body modification artist Stelarc, who had an ear attached to his left arm, and also uses his body as a canvas.
Boumjimar says he plans to travel to Bosnia again for more body modifications.
