Today we are going to review the Movie of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani , which according me is undoubtedly this year’s best film.
The film revolves around the life of brave Maratha general Bajirao, jinka dream hai India ko Mughalo ke raaj se free karna. Due his gallatory and valour his well known across the country, lekin unki zindagi tab badal jaati hai jab unse madad manganey aati hai Bundlekhand ki brave and beautiful Raajkumari Mastani. Love blossoms between the two however like all epic romances, this historical jodi too faces a lot of opposition.
Problem ye hoti hai ki Bajirao ki shaadi already kashibai se ho rakhi hoti aur us se bhi badha issue ye tha ki dono alag religions ke they. What problem do they face, kya kashibai apne pati ki dusri biwi ko accept kar pati hai, Kya inka pyaar anjam tak pahunchta hai. To know all that you have to watch Bajirao Mastani
Sanjay Bhansali’s magnum opus is 2 hours 26 minutes of absolute cinematic brilliance and you will just be mesmerized by the sheer grandeur of the movie. Right from power-packed performances to the crisp screenplay and the grand sets to the heavenly costumes, SLB has nailed just about everything. He has taken some cinematic liberty lekin uska khayal rakhtey huey unhone film se pehle ek disclaimer bhi daala hai.
Now let’s talk about acting. Ranveer has delivered his career best performance in the movie and has completely got into the skin of his character. Peshwa ki chaal dhal se lekar Marathi accent tak, the exuberant actor has pulled off the intense role with ease and has done full justice to his character. Mehnat rang lai aapki ranveer. Film dekhne ke baad, mujhe nahi lagta ki unki jagah koi aur actor is role ko nibha sakta tha. This year it will surely be a clean sweep for Ranveer at all awards functions this year.
Deepika looks divine in the film and while her performance impresse you in the beginning, thodhi hi der mein apko realise hoga ki puri film mein unka ek hi expression hai. That said she has danced beautifully in the movie and looks convincing while doing the action sequences.
The effervescent Priyanak Chopra plays Peshwa’s wife Kashibai and she is lovely in her role. She looks like a true Marathi mulghi aur unka chulbulapan film mein ek nayi jaan daal deta hai. But you get to see a new side to her jab unhe apne pati ke dusre relation ke baarey mein pata chalta hai.
Milind Soman, Mahesh Majerekar, Raza Murad and Aditya Pancholi are good in their roles. The dialogues are poetic, the action sequences will leave you awestruck aur film ke gaaney aur background score isey ek alag hi level pe leke jaatey hai.

It won’t be wrong to say that Indian cinema has got it’s modern day Maghal-e-azam in Bajirao Mastani and I’m sure har Indian ko ye film dekhtey huey kaafi proud feel hoga.
I give this film a rating of 4 and half stars. So do watch Bajirao Mastani this weekend as you just can’t afford to miss this one and only big screens will be able to do justice to its mammoth scale.
