Poetic and engaging text by young writer Tanja Šljivar. The dramatic situations during the drama disintegrate under the onslaught of poetic images and lyrical language. The characters, their lives and testimonies, become much more than a bizarre image of contemporary Bosnian society. They turn into a metaphor for life in the Balkans today, the metaphor for the lives of all of us who, immersed in the obscurity of a historical interregnum, long for a more exciting existence, for some interesting destiny that once upon a time seemed possible… once upon a time, long before the wars, poverty, universal social downfall. Mirjana Karanović and Enes Salković created a reduced and honest show from which we can read different new meanings of the text. This drama and this play will surely be a real treat for all theater aficionados who love it when our theater is engaged in re-interpreting, when it pushes forward the boundaries of the drama theater that is focused on mimicking actions through chronologically told stories.
