Well, here we are: Equestria Girls! Ill preface this by saying the movie surprised me. I went in with low expectations (I never was a fan of the obvious corporate concept), and came out entertained. It was fun, and while not amazing, it was by no means bad, or even mediocre. Plus, the songs and BGM were all FANTASTIC and top-quality. Ill note that if you are for some reason not a fan of pop music, you probably wont be thrilled with the songs in the movie. But youve gotta admit the quality and production of them is great.\r

This song plays during the credits of the movie, making it the first credits song for the show that wasnt in the episode itself. Its also arguably the first song in the series not sung by a character. You could make the argument that its Twilight or Sunset Shimmer, especially based on who is singing it or content. Ive only given credit to Rebecca Shoichet for the vocals, but its hard to tell if the backup singer are her, other cast members, or other people. !!!(UPDATE: Well, according to Daniel Ingram himself on Twitter, the song is sung by Jerrica Santos, and is supposed to be a ballad to [Twilight Sparkle] from the other 5 ponies. source: That very, very high pitched yay near the end does sound like Fluttershy (you can hear this best in the instrumental version). Anyway, I really like this song. Its pretty much the definition of a credits song. It also has a very R&B feel to it at parts, especially the verses and bridge, which gives me nostalgic hnngs for 90s Disney movies. And if Ill have to Find A Way from season 3, or the rest of the songs from this movie werent enough of a departure from the shows normal fare for you, this song features some, what should I call it.modern pop sing-talking?.during the verses. I dunno, I like it. This is probably the first song in the series that would be at home on mainstream radio.\r

Oh, and how can you not love that little surprise for the fans at the end of the credits?\r

Again, the overall production of the song really shines in the instrumental track. This has a little bit of everything, synth, orchestra, choir, guitar. And it really is all made to fit together perfectly here. Just listen how everything plays off one another and melds. Its great mixing work by Ingram & his team.\r
