Weary Blues – Dutch Swing College Band with Humphrey Lyttleton 1976
Somewhere in Holland, probably around 1976 the Dutch Swing College Band is filmed while their special guest from England, Humphrey Lyttleton gets to sit in and play a solo. Unfortunately the band choose a tune, a band staple, which features the clarinet section. What makes this clip especially interesting is to see that the clarinetist who played in the band permanently between approximately 1947 and 1957 came to sit in during this session.
Dim Kesber is featured here between leader Peter Schilperoort and Bob Kaper. Other members are Bert de Kort cornet, Dickie Kaart trombone, Arie Ligthart? guitar, Henk Bosch van Drakestein bass and Huub Janssen drums.
The sound quality gets worse towards the end and the last part of the tune in this clip is left out.
