Good idea, prices for gems went increase to 30%, why can't gems do same thing? The fact that taxes are higher in different countries makes no difference to the consumer since all purchases are in USD. The other bs part about this is that the increases in prices are different for different amounts. Eg here in US 2500 gems was19.99 now 22.99 increase of a little over 15% 14000 gems were 99.99 now 19.99 that's a 20% increase 500 gems 4.99 now 5.79 16% increase if this was a tax issue then the % would be uniform not fluctuating.
