Ganesha Chaturthi is the one of the biggest Indian Festivals. Devotees bring home an idol of Lord Ganesh and open their doors to friends and family that visit them to pray to the generous Lord. It is believed that during this festive period of 11 days Lord Ganesh listens patiently to the prayers of his devotees and on the day of his immersion he takes all their obstacles and troubles into the sea with him.
