TURBYLEC compact centrifuge Oil-Water separator

TURBYLEC is a compact centrifuge separator developed in the frame of the HOVERSPILL European project (MultiEnvironment Air Cushion Oil Spill Fast Response & Post Emergency Remediation System).
In this specific context, this separator was first dedicated to the in-line separation of Oil-Water mixtures resulting from the skimming of an oil spill. For this purpose the efficiency of TURBYLEC has been proven during several test campaigns carried out at CEDRE laboratory in Brest. The results of these experiments have been presented at the International Oil Spill Conference held in Savannah in 2014 (TURBYLEC: development and experimental validation of an innovative centrifugal oil-water separator).
Thanks to its compactness, its low weight and its rapidity and ease of use TURBYLEC is a very attractive tool for remediation of accidental pollutions or more generally for remediation works of polluted soils and sites.
Many other industrial applications can be foreseen for this novel technology.
The innovative concepts of TURBYLEC separator have been patented by YLEC Consultants in 2012 (DEVICE FOR SEPARATING TWO IMMISCIBLE FLUIDS OF DIFFERENT DENSITIES BY CENTRIFUGATION).
