Pee-wees Playhouse Theme Song

Several people asked about my contribution to Pee-wees Playhouse after I posted the Zyzzyballubah piece. I co-wrote the first 23 episodes of the series, played the puppets GLOBEY, THE COWNTESS, THE FISH, A FLOWER, and PTERRI in Season Two. I also provided the voice and dialogue for the educational films, made two on-screen appearances and co-wrote this, the theme song, with Paul Reubens and Mark Mothersbaugh. I also got to see it recorded at a studio in Manhattan by the great CYNDY LAUPER. This series was my first writing credit, and was the biggest boost to my career, and still a great credit Im proud of.
