Hero for a Day 2014: Building Predator Cover for Quail in New Jersey

Hunters and local teens gave up their Saturday to build hedgerows and plant native grasses to benefit New Jersey's bobwhite quail. The South Jersey Quail Project led these volunteer Heroes in an ongoing effort to create habitat connectivity on public and private lands for these upland birds.
