U.S. airstrikes on ISIS camp in Libya kill at least 41 suspected terrorists
  • 8 years ago
SABRATHA / LIBYA — An ISIS camp in northwestern Libya was turned to rubble early Friday morning courtesy of the U.S. military. At least 41 people who were at the camp outside Sabratha have been confirmed dead and six others were reported wounded.

Senior Tunisian terrorist Noureddine Chouchane (also known as 'Sabir') was the primary target of the air raid.

'Sabir' is believed to be linked to two terrorist attacks last year in Tunisian — one on the National Bardo Museum where 22 people were killed and another on a beach resort in Sousse which claimed 38 lives.

Friday's airstrikes were carried out by F-15E jets that lifted off from Lakenheath, England.
