Mizzou professor Melissa Click caught cursing at cop in new video

COLUMBIA, MISSOURI — A controversial University of Missouri professor who was suspended late last year is in trouble again after new footage of her verbally abusing a police officer surfaced over the weekend.

Last November, Assistant Professor of Communication Melissa Click was infamously filmed manhandling a student journalist covering protests at the university in November. That clip went viral and got her in trouble with the university's management.

The new footage shows Click yelling a curse word at a police officer. In the video, from October 10, Click and a bunch of students are blocking the road ahead of the university's Homecoming Parade.

Police officers move in to clear the protesters from the road. As they start to usher the students onto the sidewalk, Click forces her way between the protesters and the officers and tells them to "get your hands off the children."

Then, when one of the officers puts his hand on her shoulder, she responds with a profanity that you can just about hear over the noise.

The footage, obtained by The Missourian under an open records request, has already been seen by the university's top brass, and they are not happy.

The university's Interim Chancellor Hank Foley told the Missourian in a statement that, "Her conduct and behavior are appalling, and I am not only disappointed, I am angry, that a member of our faculty acted this way."

Click, who was suspended and banned from campus late last month over the original November incident, has said she "will fight to be treated fairly," and wants her job back.
