Death Valley Poised For Wildflower ‘Super Bloom’

Officials with the Death Valley National Park in California have announced that flowers are currently sprouting in such a concentration that a super bloom could be underway.

Death Valley in California may seem like a barren landscape, but officials believe it could soon be bursting with an unusually high concentration of wildflowers.
In a short video posted to the Death Valley National Park’s Facebook page, ranger Alan Van Valkenburg reveals that a super bloom may be underway.
He explains that even though flowers appear regularly, this intense growth only happens about once every ten years.
Staff actually wrote about the possibility of a wildflower super bloom in October last year after the park received significant rain and El Niño forces were predicted to bring more.
