The first character animation I have done as a student at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. It's a five-second animation I did in my second year in their film animation program

The character you see here is a character named "Mr. Basic", named so because he is composed of the most basic shapes to make up the head, body, and limbs of a traditionally animated character. Every one of the 2nd year students had to do an animation of this character doing whatever they could think of. This is my take.

I should add that Mr. Basic is a creation of Doug Compton, a professional traditional animator who is an instructor the the Kubert School's animation program. His list of credits include "Ice Age", "Doug", "Animaniacs", and numerous others. You can see all his credits on his site: http://www.karmatoons.com
