Winnie Official Trailer (2012) - Jennifer Hudson, Terrence Howard: Winnie Mandela-centered biopic, Winnie, premiered way back at the 2011 TIFF and is still without an American distributor, so if and when it will find a stateside premiere is still in question.

Directed by Darrell J. Roodt, starring Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson as Winnie Mandela and Terence Howard as Nelson Mandela, the film is based on the biography by Anne Marie du Preez Bezdrob.

Adapted by Roodt and Andre Pieterse, the film tells the life story of Winnie Mandela tracing her life from her childhood to her experience after her husband was put in prison.

This historical biopic will be hitting theaters in Canada next month (October 5th)."
