Jackky Bhagnani Gangnam Style Song Shoot

Jackky Bhagnani made headlines when he acquired the rights of Psy's Gangnam Style. And now, he has gone ahead and shot the song in authentic 'Mumbaiya' style — all over the streets of the city.
In a three-day schedule, the team nailed the song, rendering a fresh look to it. It's being launched today and guess where? At Holi Maidan in Dharavi, Mumbai and Asia's biggest slum, at 7 pm. The Dharavi Rocks (a local music and dance project) team has also been roped in to perform at the launch alongside Jackky.
About the filming of the song, he said, "The entire process of getting the song (its rights) was quite tedious and now, I can't believe that we have already shot for it. We had to be careful while planning the song. It not only had to be different from the original but also seem intrinsic to the film. The entire team brainstormed on the story that we would tell through this song, the locations, look and feel. I believe we got it right."
Gangnam Style for Rangrezz is shot across pockets of Mumbai. This fits into the backdrop of the film, which is very 'desi'. Jackky's character, Rishi Deshpande, hails from a typical middle-class Maharashtrian family and the song is shot in a way that connects to his character.
The Dharavi Rocks team is excited to share the stage with the actor. Most of the children are from the local slums, some even rag-pickers. A majority of them don't have formal training in dance, but were noticed for their sheer talent.
"These kids love dancing and are fast learners. Their moves have the style and flavour of the streets of Mumbai. Since Jackky's Gangnam Style also has a similar flavour, we thought this would be a great platform for the kids to perform," says a source.
