Carl Craig's record signing and CD release party for Designer Music: The Remixes, Vol. 1, Ferndale, Michigan USA 2000.
I shot this video with my Sony D8 camcorder and edited it with Adobe Premiere 5.1c on Windows 98...the early days of SD and computer technical problems.
Some footage was mixed to the beat of the music using the camcorder's built-in digital effects while recording live. My first time mixing like this was in 1997 at the first D'Jungle party in Detroit; often I would roll the camcorder's knob between effects and sometimes even dance with the camera while mixing.
It's 15 years later and Carl Craig is performing at Nuits Sonores (nuits-sonores.com), so I decided to make it public for documentation purposes and as a dedication to Carl and fellow Detroit DJs.

Recorded under low lighting, crowds, and dying battery, then edited in 2 weeks after work hours, without much sleep. Record signing at Record Time & party at Temple nightclub.
