Wildfire Burns Out of Control Near Solimar Beach in California

A wildfire, dubbed the Solimar Fire, scorched over 1,000 acres between December 25 and 26 in Ventura County, California, prompting mandatory evacuation orders for several areas, and forcing the closure of Highway 101 in both directions, authorities said.
