BENTON, LOUISIANA — A man is in custody after allegedly setting off a bomb under his employers' bed at their farm home in Benton, Louisiana.

Investigators suspect 54-year-old farm worker Douglas Holley placed the explosive under Bobby and Tracey Hewlett's bed, according to Bossier Sheriff's Office. The device reportedly detonated at some point early Saturday morning. The couple was unharmed.

According to the Bossier Sheriff's Office, police later found evidence of explosives research and bomb-making materials at Holley's home. Holley has been charged with attempted first degree murder and manufacturing a bomb.

According to the Shreveport Times, Holley worked at the horse farm for several years, but became angry at his boss Bobby Hewlett, a veterinarian, who was unable to help his dying horse, Charlie. Hewlett explained that Holley blamed him for Charlie's death.
