Brave convenience store clerk chases away masked robber armed with shotgun

STAATSBURG, NEW YORK — Security footage recently released by police shows a brave convenience store clerk in Staatsburg, New York chasing away a masked robber who was armed with a shotgun after the would-be criminal tried to rob a store earlier this month.
The attempted robbery took place on December 15, when a masked man with a shotgun entered the store and handed what appears to be a plastic bag to the clerk before demanding money.
In the footage, the clerk can be seen filling the bag with cash before the robber seems to grow impatient and reaches toward the register himself. This is when the clerk decides he's had enough and fights back, continuing to attack the robber by throwing items from from the store at him before chasing him out the door.
The last moments of the footage show the robber fleeing from the scene before. Safe to say he won't be messing with this particular convenience store again.
