Hound Dog Taylor - mid 1960's

Hound Dog Taylor was one of the rawest and most incredible blues musicians ever recorded. This is a rare video of him. The only other footage I know of is from a series documenting the "American Folk Blues Festival" in Europe. I was honored to have seen this series ('67 or '68) while stationed in Germany. I remembered seeing Koko Taylor, Hound Dog and Little Walter on the same stage! This is the only footage known to exist of Little Walter. He plays backup on Hound Dog Taylor's "Wild About You" and Koko Taylor's classic "Wang Dang Doodle." Wow! What a treat. It's one of my foundest memories of Germany.

Hound Dog said it himself: "When I die, they'll say 'He couldn't play shit, but he sure made it sound good!"
