US: Washington Protests Hit TPP

The controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement will be the target of demonstrations for three days in Washington, D.C. The TPP will be discussed by leaders of the countries involved on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, which opens on Wednesday in Manila. With the final text of the TPP only made public on November 5, critics say the agreement will favor big corporations at the expense of workers, small businesses, and consumers.
