Authorities Find Dozens Of Pangolins Bundled In Bags

Dozens of the 81 endangered, anteater-like pangolins that were rescued after being found in a smuggler’s crates at the Laos-Thai border have been successfully brought back to health and returned to the wild.

A rescue situation has resulted in a number of endangered animals being saved. 
At the end of October, border officials in Laos caught a man trying to smuggle 81 pangolins, which resemble anteaters, into Thailand; the animals had been bundled in blue bags which were placed into numerous red crates. 
A rescue group was called, and they discovered many of the pangolins were weak, and one even dead, from traveling for an undetermined time in such poor conditions.
