Alaskan Teen Learns How To Skin A Bear After Killing One In Self-Defense

In late October, 14-year-old Kavin Roberts got a crash course in properly skinning a bear after killing one that was charging right at him.

Bears don’t make a regular habit of attacking people, but given their size and strength, anyone who does become a target of one better have a plan.
In late October, 14-year-old Kavin Roberts was hunting deer in Alaska with his uncle when a Kodiak Brown Bear started coming at them. 
Once the animal was only 15 yards away, the youth fired and the animal went down.
While shooting a bear to spare one’s own life is permissible in Alaska, the Department of Fish and Game requires the carcass be salvaged and relinquished.
As luck would have it, there were two good Samaritans skil
