Imran Khan lashes out at reporter who asked about his breakup

Pakistani cricket legend-turned- politician Imran Khan shouted down a reporter who sought to enquire about his recent announcement to divorce TV journalist Reham Khan. "Those talking about someone's personal life should be ashamed," a furious Imran said, while addressing a press conference here in the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. "There are some ethics. No one asks personal questions," Imran was quoted as saying by Express Tribune, days after he and Reham filed for divorce after a 10-month-long marriage.

62-year-old Imran's marriage to 42-year-old Reham was his second after his first marriage with English heiress Jemima Goldsmith for nine years ended in divorce in June, 2004. Imran and Jemima have two sons from their marriage. Imran, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman, had married Reham in a simple ceremony in January this year.

It was also Reham's second marriage. Reham once worked for BBC and also hosts a talk show on a local television. Imran and Reham Khan have divorced with mutual consent, PTI spokesperson Naeemul Haq had said last week amid reports that the Pakistani cricket legend-turned-politician objected to her meddling in politics. Haq had said that due to the sensitivity of the matter, the media should refrain from speculation and there would be no further comments on the issue.
