En fin d'après midi, suite a un contrôle de billet mené par les agents de la RATP, les forces de l'ordre ont du venir prêter main forte aux agents du Groupe de Protection et de Sécurité du Réseau (GPSR de la RATP) ce qui a déclenché un attroupement de voyageurs, et qui s'est transformé en émeute avec l'avancée de l'heure et l'arrivée de nombreux jeunes. Les affrontements avec les forces de l'ordres ont été très violents et ont duré jusque très tard dans la soirée.
In late afternoon, following an inspection conducted by ticket agents of the RATP, the forces of order have come lend a helping hand to officials of the Group of Protection and Security Network (GPSR the RATP) it was met by the crowding of passengers, and that turned into riots with the advance of the time and the arrival of many young people. The clashes with the forces of order have been very violent and lasted until very late in the evening.
