Colombia – ELN Seeks Bilateral Ceasefire with Government

As negotiators prepare for the next round of peace talks between the Colombian government and FARC guerrillas in Havana on Tuesday, Colombia’s other guerrilla, the National Liberation Army (ELN) repeats its call to negotiate a truce as soon as possible and begin formal peace talks. Exploratory talks have been held since January of 2014. The ELN is holding two soldiers hostage after it attacked the Colombian Army last week, resulting in several deaths. teleSUR
