American Civil War Outlaw Film W/ Roy Rogers & Gabby Hayes

Roy Rogers plays a Union captain charged with the job of catching a band of renegade confederate soldiers who are victimizing a group of settlers in Missouri. Gabby Hayes plays his sidekick. Together, they fight the confederate thugs, and Roy Rogers is grievously wounded. One of the confederates, an old friend of Roy’s named Dave, rides back to save him from being left to die. In the end, after he has caught the band and presented them for execution, Roy must make the difficult decision of what to do about his friend Dave, who is among those up for the ultimate punishment.
