1942 Big Band Patriotic WWII War ~ Military Army Comedy Film

The Yanks Are Coming is a cheerful story about a popular music big band that travels to the front in order to entertain the army. Classic composers Sidney Clare and Lew Pollack create a sonic sensation throughout the picture. Initially dazzling with a wonderful blend of patriotic songs and classic forties pop, the dancing and good times are rolling – until the army base is attacked! Confronted with the realities of war, the band members find themselves taking up weapons instead of instruments to fight for their country.
