Pregnant woman clings to hood of moving car for 1 mile on highway

HOUSTON ? Two model parents-to-be got into a public altercation on the Gulf Freeway in Houston on Wednesday, when a man drove a stolen car for one mile with his pregnant ex-girlfriend clinging to the hood. Houston's KHOU 11 News and KPRC both aired footage taken by passing motorists, which shows the woman clinging to the hood and nearly being run over several times before eventually losing her grip.
The couple in question, Anthony Escobedo, 33, and Jessica Alvarado, 31, used to date. Eight months ago they conceived a baby, but their romance didn't last. Also, at some point, Escobedo snatched Alvarado's car keys from her hotel room, and drove off with a 2015 Kia Sorento which allegedly belonged to Alvarado's friend.
On Wednesday, 32-weeks-pregnant Alvarado managed to locate Escobedo in the missing car, with another woman in the passenger seat, down at the Gulf gas station. Alvarado declared that her baby-daddy wasn't going anywhere, but, he proved her wrong and drove off, with her hanging onto the hood.
They drove down the highway in this fashion, starting and stopping, for about one mile, before Alvarado finally fell off of the hood, and Mr. Father of the Year could finally escape forever! Except, he was arrested immediately afterward, and charged with aggravated assault on a family member.
Jessica Alvarado was picked up by a driver with a conscience who took her to another gas station, where they called 911. She only suffered scrapes and bruises, and her baby is totally fine.
