In a setback to former Gujarat IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt, the Supreme Court today dismissed his plea seeking to make BJP chief Amit Shah a party to his petitions in 2002 Gujarat riots. In his fresh plea, Bhatt had sought to make Shah and S Gurumurthy, co-convener of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch as parties to his petition,

alleging their complicity in what he called a “conspiracy to subvert the ends of justice”.
