Bolivia: ‘Access to Appropriate Technology Is a Right’

Working Group #5 of the People’s Climate Change Conference dealt with the use of knowledge and technology to protect life. It highlighted the need for people to act to strengthen knowledge, techniques and technology in relation to climate change and in defense of life, and also demanded access to appropriate science and technology as a human right recognized by the United Nations. Moreover, the group called for a new international mechanism to manage access to science and technology and its benefits in order to defend life.. teleSUR
