Indian prisoners in Pakistani jails were either killed or mentally tortured. Prisoners, while expressing anger over inaction by the Government of India in dealing with the matter, said that they have lost hope of returning home.
Vinod Sahni, a resident of Jammu, was released from Kot Lakhpat Jail after 12 years, had said that Indian inmates face very rude and violent atmosphere inside the jails. He also informed that several Indian prisoners were killed inside the jails and their bodies were disposed off. He said that Indians are treated like animals and beaten up brutally inside Pakistan Jails.
