Britain Rejects Paying Slavery Reparations to Jamaica

In a visit to Jamaica, British Prime Minister David Cameron said London would not make slavery reparations to the Caribbean island nation. He said it was time for the Caribbean to "move on". Ahead of Cameron's trip, the issue of reparations had been raised by Sir Hilary Beckles, chair of the Caribbean Community Reparations Commission.
