The latest images released from NASA's New Horizons mission to Pluto show the dwarf planet's terrain in detail never seen before. Some are comparing the topography to the scales of a snake or dragon.

Not likely. But new images from NASA's New Horizons Pluto mission seem to invite the comparison.
NASA refers to the recently-released images as "dazzling and mystifying."
