The Yamaha YZF has had a great run India so far. When it was first launched in the country, it was the first lightweight sports bike and had the first mover advantage. Sales of it went through the roof. After a while an updated version of the bike named YZF-R15 V2.0 was brought into the market. But now, in an interesting move, the company has launched the original bike with a different name – YZF-R15S at an ex-showroom price Rs.1.14 Lakh. It will be sold alongside the V2.0.
All major upgrades done to the V2.0 has been carried forward to the YZF-R15 S. So no mechanical changes can be seen in this one. The R15S will have new body graphics and a single piece seat. The bike will be offered in three different color options – Red, Green and White.
