Mali: Local populations growing impatient with fragile peace

In Mali, a peace deal signed between the government and Tuareg rebels is proving fragile. Disarmament is still under way and deadly clashes erupted last month between rebels and pro-government militia in Anefis, south of Kidal. Meanwhile, Islamists are still active. Nearly 7,000 UN peacekeepers remain on the ground but local populations are growing impatient.
