World War 2 In Poland: The Polish Underground Resistance

Tadeuz Komorowski - known as “General Bor” - was the guest on this episode of the Longines Chronoscope with Frank Knight. Bor was the leader of the Polish underground movement against the Germans in Poland during World War II. He has been living in London since 1945 and was invited to the US as a special guest for the last week. He comments on the difficulty of leading an underground movement during peaceful time. He says that the Russians are much more experienced with underground groups than the Germans and are therefore able to control them much better. He also believes that Poland will have its chance soon to redeem itself, because he thinks that war will break out in two or three years. He thinks Russia will see the West gaining strength and must make a decision to let the West grow or attack it. The betrayals of Russia at the end of World War II did not surprise the Polish as much as it did the Americans. The Poles knew the Russians, and such betrayals are typical results. However, Bor expects to see Poland again as a free country before he dies. See the full length video at: www.qualityinformationpublishers.com
