New research has found that not getting enough sleep can increase your chances of catching a cold.

The best defense against cold may just be more sleep.


A recent study has found that the probability of catching a cold after virus exposure quadruples for those sleeping six hours or less compared to those who exceed seven hours in bed. 


The other variables which were taken into account but did not have as great an impact included age, stress, race, income, and smoking.
