Palestine: School Year Begins in Gaza

After a week long strike, the new school year began today in the Gaza Strip. The strike by United Nations Relief and Works Agency teachers and staff was called to demand payment of wages and a reduction in classroom size, which had reached 50 to 60 students per class.
