#BlackLivesMatter marches on Minnesota State Fair

    by PressTV

In the US state of Minnesota, protesters from the Black Lives Matter movement have marched to the State Fair to call for attention into racial disparities.

The demonstrators rallied against different race issues ranging from policing to under-representation of minorities. Police put on extra staff for the march which grew louder as it neared the entrance of the fair. Black Lives Matter is a decentralized national movement against racism in policing and the justice system. Anti-racism protests by the group gained momentum last year during widespread protests against police killings of unarmed black men. Only in 2015, 24 unarmed black men have been shot and killed by police across the United States.
