Well we've got Style(s), miles and miles; so much Style(s) that it's wasted. Okay, the Pavement pun doesn't really apply here ? nothing's wasted when it comes to Styles Upon Styles, one of the best around pushing NY's hardware scene + community forward. This one, the first available cut from Certain Creatures' forthcoming LP, is custom-fit for anything but grotty basements. "An Allegory..." is a beautiful sketch with traces of rainforest exotica, but not exactly suggesting serenity ? the nature samples get worked into the rhythm, creating an atmospheric backdrop to get lost within. Certain Creatures indeed.

Vipassana is out via SUS on October 30th.
