Kidnappers demand RM36.4 mln ransom for Chinese tourist

Gunmen who kidnapped two women from a resort off Semporna have demanded a 36.4 million ringgit ransom for the release of a Chinese tourist.

Home Minister Zahid Hamidi says a team has been sent to negotiate with the reported middle person.

Zahid adds that there has been no ransom demand for the Filipino hostage.
