Twenty years ago, I had the chance to meet two major Japanese artists, violinist Kyoko Takezawa and Maestro Masahiko Kurano. These meetings were an inspiration and I composed a piece in memory of the victims in Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Saipan. This year marks the 70th remembrance and my feeling has not changed, I want this music to reach the soul of people who will listen.

Il y a vingt ans, j'ai eu la chance de rencontrer deux grands artistes japonais, la violoniste Kyoko Takezawa et le chef d'orchestre Masahiko Kurano. Ces réunions ont été une source d'inspiration et j' ai composé une pièce à la mémoire des victimes à Hiroshima, Nagasaki et Saipan. Cette année marque le 70e année de commémoration et mon sentiment n'a pas changé, je souhaite que cette musique ira droit au coeur de ceux qui l'écouteront.
