Climate change dominated discussions on Tuesday between U.S. President Barack Obama and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
Following talks at the White House,... Obama said the threat of climate change was the most pressing issue facing the United States and the United Nations.
Fresh from unveiling his own plans to slash U.S. carbon emissions,... Obama also stressed the importance of negotiations in Paris later this year on a global climate change agreement.
The UN chief said the meeting was extremely constructive and he thanked the U.S. for its continued support and leadership in tackling human rights abuses around the world.
Obama, who congratulated Ban on the upcoming 70th anniversary of the United Nations, will address the UN General Assembly in September.
