Ants are well-known for their cooperative colonies underground, but a recent study has revealed how they are able to carry large loads like food back home. 

Researchers from Israel have found that longhorn crazy ants rely on one group to carry the object while other members act as directional leaders. 

These scouts are the main way the group figures out in which direction to go, as their vision and guiding antennae are generally blocked by the load.
