Legalizing prostitution would reduce other crimes

Illegal drugs, prostitution, the organ trade--these black markets currently thrive immeasurably all over the world. These markets do very well, yet because of their underground nature, they evade paying taxes. Some argue that this is a source of tax revenue that governments should tap into. Legalizing such black markets may bolster a nation's economy as well as make these industries safer through regulation and greater transparency. Many call legalization the pragmatic approach that chooses the lesser of two evils. In particular, the legalization of black markets such as marijuana and prostitution are hotly debated.
